Senior Living

 

Ivy Springs is a two-story, state of the art senior housing facility in Buford, Georgia. The facility was designed to have a total of 76 living units with a total of 15 different unit types to accommodate a diverse resident requirement. This diversity includes a memory care wing with 23 units that provides for the unique requirements of residents with varying degrees of dementia.

The style and character of the design was intended to respond to the design aesthetic of Georgia. Many exterior finish materials were locally sourced to further acknowledge the local vernacular that was dictated about the local community. The interior design was determined by the need to create a sense of community and connectedness with the facility, therefore, we strategically placed “living rooms” throughout for the resident to make these all important connections. The color palette is sensitive to the changing perception of color associated with aging and provides a pleasant yet upscale look and feel to the interior living spaces.
