Religious
MWHS Architectural Design Services worked with EDP Collaborative Design as the Design Architects to 12Stone Church for their campus in the Sugarloaf area of Duluth, GA. The church’s website states that "its architecture pays tribute to the rich heritage on which we stand yet inspire those who pass through its door to new levels of impact in our community and our world." The 70,000 sf facility has three levels which includes the John C. Maxwell Leadership Center and a new satellite campus for 12Stone Church. The exterior has an ellipse flanking the facade along with 12 Stone columns as a tribute to the name.
The Maxwell Center houses training conference rooms with the latest technology and sound systems for the optimal learning experience. The center also includes plush executive offices for the Maxwell team and a Black Box Theatre with an editing studio.
12Stone Church occupies the other side of the facility which includes a 1,000 seat worship center with full audio and visual production capabilities, and substantial space for the Children’s Ministry. The 5,000 sf Common Lobby has large windows, allowing natural light to stream in from the high ceilings. A full service Starbucks café is available within the lobby area.
